For the past century individual cows from vast Gir beef herds have been selected for milk production.
The result is the highest yielding Bos Indicus breed in the world. World records are broken constantly,
examples are pictured on this page, and keep in mind that numbers indicated are lactation averages!
These are C.A.Sansao’s parents and some of his offspring, warranting his status as producer of the
most expensive semen in the world (as to my knowledge). Congratulations to Gir breeders of Brazil!
